Parvati Nair Denies Assault Allegations, Expresses Faith in Judiciary
Actress Parvati Nair, known for her roles in films like "Poppins," "Story Kathe," and "Yennai Arindhaal," has issued a statement denying allegations of assaulting her domestic helper.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, September 23, Parvati stated, "Some false narratives and baseless allegations are being circulated. I have full faith in the judicial system, and my legal team will take action against everyone responsible. The truth will be out soon. Thank you to all my fans, friends, and family for your unwavering support (sic)."
The allegations stem from a complaint filed by Subhash Chandra Bose, who accused Parvati of assaulting him at KGR Studios in Chennai. Bose had previously accused Parvati of theft in a separate police complaint. Following his release, he alleged that Parvati approached him at the studio and slapped him, accompanied by five others who verbally abused him.
Bose initially filed a complaint with the Teynampet Police Station, but he claims no action was taken. He subsequently approached the Saidapet 19th MM Court, and after the magistrate passed orders, an FIR was registered against Parvati and others.
Parvati has been booked under sections 296 (b), 115 (2), and 351 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the investigation is currently underway.
While Parvati has strongly denied the allegations, the legal process is ongoing. It is important to note that the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
