Remake rumors on Alia Bhatt Jigra

Alia Bhatt is set to return to the screen with "Jigra," an action drama produced by Karan Johar under his Dharma Productions banner. The film features Vedang Raina alongside Alia and marks a unique reimagining of Karan Johar's own 1983 film "Gumrah," which was produced by his father Yash Johar.

While "Jigra" retains the central theme of a desperate mission to save a loved one, it introduces a significant twist. Instead of a man embarking on a perilous journey to rescue his lover imprisoned abroad, as in "Gumrah," the narrative in "Jigra" flips the script, with the heroine undertaking the mission to save her brother.
