National Award-winning producer Raj Kandukuri is set to bring the legendary tribal warrior Komaram Bheem to the big screen in a grand biopic. While director S.S. Rajamouli recently depicted Bheem in his blockbuster "RRR," Kandukuri aims to delve deeper into the life of this iconic figure, who is considered a symbol of pride for the Telangana region.

"It will be a tribute and a testament to the legacy of this warrior who lived between 1901 and 1940," says Kandukuri, who is known for producing big-ticket films like "Pelli Choopulu" and launching Vijay Deverakonda. He is drawn to stories of legendary fighters who rose against all odds, stating that Bheem, alongside other Gond leaders, led a significant rebellion against the Nizams of Hyderabad in the 1930s, contributing to the Telangana Rebellion of 1946.

Kandukuri is seeking to capture the audience's attention in an era where audiences are increasingly drawn to home entertainment. "We need larger-than-life stories to bring people back to the theaters," he explains. "Bheem's valiant life story has the potential to be a game-changer."

To portray the larger-than-life persona of Komuram Bheem, Kandukuri plans to cast a big star. He draws parallels to the success of "Alluri Seetharama Raju," a film starring superstar Krishna, which celebrated the bravery of a tribal warrior against the British. "I envision a hero-centric film with a touch of realism, showcasing the unwavering courage of this Telangana hero who stood against the mighty Razakars," he concludes.
