Ranbir cooled Sandeep who lost cool during Animal. Renowned filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga's recent cinematic venture, "Animal," featuring an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor, has emerged as a colossal success at the global box office. However, Vanga recently opened up about the intricate challenges encountered during the film's release and expressed regrets regarding certain post-production decisions.
In a candid and revealing interview with Komal Nahta, Vanga provided valuable insights into the intense final days leading up to the film's release, describing them as nothing short of "horrible." He candidly admitted, "When I first saw the film, I noticed several issues, especially concerning the sound. Given that we were releasing in five languages, I lost track of which language's sound I was checking. The last 20 days were incredibly challenging. We practically slept in the mixing room for almost three to four days. This should not have happened; there should have been an additional week. However, I am rectifying all those issues for the Netflix version, and we are also planning to release a Blu-ray."
During the interview, Vanga shared an anecdote about a last-minute revelation regarding a sound issue, just a day before the film's release. Ranbir Kapoor reportedly played a calming and supportive role during this tense moment, aiding the director in navigating the stressful situation. Vanga acknowledged, "I'm currently editing the Netflix version, which will include a few additional shots. I should've retained the 3-hour 30-minute version, but due to pressure, I had to cut 8-9 minutes. I am using that footage for the Netflix version of 'Animal.'" This insight into the director's meticulous approach to perfecting his creation adds a layer of anticipation for fans awaiting the enhanced Netflix version of the film.
