Amitabh shares Mere Angane Mein experience. In a recent episode of KBC 15, Amitabh Bachchan, affectionately known as Big B, shared an amusing anecdote about the popular song "Mere Angne Mein" from the movie "Laawaris" and how he was asked to sing it by director Prakash Mehra.

During the episode, Big B introduced an audio question related to the song and appeared visibly embarrassed as the song played. He even directed an irritated glance at the computer, questioning why they included this particular question in the game. With a hint of exasperation, he asked, "Which of these is true for the song in the audio?" As the song continued playing, he exclaimed, "Hey bhagwan, that’s enough! Please stop playing the song. I don’t know why… I now wonder what options computer ji would present."

The multiple-choice options for the question were: the director is the singer, the actor is the singer, the actor is the director, and the composer is the director. The contestant swiftly chose the correct option – 'the actor is the singer,' prompting Big B to chuckle and quip, "The actor is the singer, and what a bad singer."

The legendary star then reminisced about his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, singing the song during Holi celebrations at home. He mentioned that it's a folk song he has known since childhood. Amitabh Bachchan recalled how director Prakash Mehra approached him with the request to use the song in his film "Laawaris" and insisted that Amitabh should sing it the way he did at home. Despite his reservations about his singing abilities, Amitabh agreed, and the song was included in the film. He humorously admitted to singing it with great difficulty.

As Amitabh Bachchan concluded his story, the studio audience encouraged him to sing again, but he firmly declined, saying, "Nahi bhai, no singing," and continued with the game.In the song, readers may know, Amitabh Bachchan took on various avatars, including cross-dressing as a woman. "Laawaris" was released in 1981 and also featured Zeenat Aman, Rakhee, and Amjad Khan.
