DS dares TRS to guarantee T state

Pradesh Congress president D Srinivas has rattled the Capital and TRS circles on Thursday by a queer question pertaining to Telangana formation.

 Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrasekhar Rao and his team are scared of losing the July 27 byelections and this is the sole reason why the TRS leaders were afer his blood and launched a vituperative campaign against him, stateD Srinivas.

 Talking to media persons, D Srinivas dared the TRS leaders to guarantee formation of Telangana state to the voters. ''Otherwise, I am ready to opt out of the elections,'' D Srinivas vowed and hoped the Telangana voters will elect the Congress party to victory.

 Some are campaigning that this byelection is a referendum for the Congress party, he said and hastened to add that

``treat this as a simple election to fill the vacant seats in the state Assembly. The Congress poll strategy to be adopted in the elections would be hammered out on Friday evening in the presence of party leaders from five Telangana districts, he revealsed.

  The nominees for the byelections would be finalised and sent to Delhi on June 28 or 29, DS said. The candidates' list would be declared on July  1, he added.
