The state government is contemplating to raise the pension for the aged and the physically handicapped, stated Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Thursday.

The Chief Minister made the announcement at his Camp Office when residents of Film Nagar sought his intervention to protect their land from encroachments.

Addressing a gathering, the Chief Minister assured protection from land-grabbers and assured legal aid for those, whose lands were encroached by encroachers and land sharks.

Rosaiah said legal action would be initiated against those who violate the land survey rules. The government was making efforts to protect the interests of the poor and backward class people.

The government would raise the pension benefits for the aged and physically challenged persons as the prices of essential commodities have gone up, he stated.

Despite the government's sincere efforts, vested-interests have launched a campaign against his government and him to destabilize his government, he said.
