Naidu reviews 'Maha Dharna' arrangements

Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday reviewed the arrangements for the April 9 ‘Maha Dharna’ to be organised at the Prakasam barrage. Leaders from Krishna, Guntur, East and West Godavari district participated in the review at his residence.

Talking to reporters, he said the `Maha Dharna was aimed at involving the farmers of Guntur and Krishna districts to register their protest against the efforts to raise the height of Almatti dam in Karnataka.

He said the TDP would stand by the farmers. He called upon the party workers to create awareness on the government’s failure to highlight the ulterior motives of Karnataka before the New Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal.
