The Delhi High Court on Wednesday admitted a petition of Rohit Shekhar, who claims to be the biological son of the veteran politician and former Andhra Pradesh governor N D Tiwari.
The Delhi High Court Wednesday dismissed N.d. Tiwari's plea challenging the paternity suit filed by a 34-year-old Rohit who claimed that the Congress leader is his biological father.
Turning down the petition of former governor, a division bench of High Court admitting the petition, issued notices to Tiwari to file his response against Rohit by April 7.
The Bench adjourned the petition for further hearing on April 7.
Earlier, Rohit had challenged the single bench order of November last year that had dismissed his paternity suit on ground of jurisdiction.
According to sources, Tiwari, who had an affair with Ujwala Sharma, denied accepting Rohit Shekar as his legal son. Ujwala Sharma had submitted a petition stating about her intimate relationship with Tiwari at Delhi High Court and requested to sanction the legality for his son.
Rohit in his previous petition requested the Court to direct the former governor to go for DNA test along with him for justifying his case, for which Tiwari strongly denied.
