A couple of journalists who were filming the incident were also hurt . A few of the students were injured in the incident. The police lobbed teargas shells to quell the unruly mob.
The police are not allowing any 'outsiders' into the campus and are checking the ID cards before letting people enter the campus.
As a fallout to the laticharge some students in Warangal and Suryapet blocked the highways and did dharnas.
Both the students and the police accused the media of one sided coverage.
