Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has directed all TRS MPs not to participate in the agitation by opposition parties agianst the demonitisation move of Central Government.
According to sources, the Chief Minister spoke to TRSLP leader Jithender Reddy over telephone and asked him not to take an active part in the protest by opposition parties. It may be mentioned that TRS members joined the opposition parties who lodged protest in the Lok Sabha demanding debate over demonitisation of old currency notes of Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500. However, the Chief Minister reportedly called Jithender Reddy and directed that no TRS MP should agitate or rush to the Speaker's podium.
Kcr directed the party MPs not to disrupt the proceedings of Lok Sabha. However, he said that effective representation should be made with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the losses being suffered by the Telangana State due to demonitisation move.
