BJP Defeat: Is It Beginning For The End?

Leaving a huge shocker to everyone, the Bjp has lost all 17 seats in the Panvel APMC elections to the contestants from PWP, Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP Alliance. PWP won 15 seats, while the Congress and Shiv Sena won one seat each. 

This humiliating defeat of Bjp is viewed as a feedback from the people on demonetization. Some of the political analysts called this as a beginning for the end of Bjp, as the party is facing ire of the people from every nook and corner. Scarcity of currency notes resulted in public anguish. 

Meanwhile, a total of 50 people are reportedly died for standing long hours in queues outside the banks and ATMs for currency and in hospitals while getting treated. On the other hand, opposition party leader Gulam Nabi Azad said, Bjp leaders will be beaten by the people if leaders visit their constituencies. These words created huge stir in Rajyasabha. Meanwhile, former union finance minister P Chidambaram said, "I support the objective but not the method. Demonetization in an economy where the cash economy is extremely large is not the answer."
