The Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers (Apngos) has threatened to seize Legislative Assembly in protest against the proposed bifurcation of the State.

Addressing a gathering organised by Seemandhra Advocates Joint Action Committee, Apngos Association president Ashok Babu said that the Association would hold protest before the State Assembly building when the draft Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill-2013 comes up for discussion. He demanded that legislators from all parties oppose the Bill. He, however, expressed confidence that all MLAs from coastal Andhra and Seemandhra region would oppose the Telangana Bill.

Ashok Babu described the proposed bifurcation as unconstitutional.

The Apngos would also convene an all party meet soon to discuss how to oppose the Bill in the Assembly.
