Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K Tarakarama Rao on Tuesday slammed TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy for their decision to abstain from the all-party meeting being convened by the Centre on Telangana issue.
Talking to reporters here, Ktr said that it was Chandrababu Naidu who demanded an all-party meeting on the issue. However, after the Centre decided to call the meeting, the TDP chief wants to abstain from it. Similarly, Jagan Mohan Reddy was emulating his TDP counterpart in staying away from the all-party meeting.
Ktr said that the abstention of two major opposition political parties in the State from the all-party meeting would send a wrong message among the people. Accusing Naidu and Jagan of speaking in one tone on Telangana issue, he demanded that the TDP and YSRCP attend the all-party meeting. He also alleged that both were trying to stall the Telangana State which is in the last stages of its formation.
