APNGOs Association President Ashok Babu on Saturday said that he was not averse to the idea of joining active politics.
Speaking to media persons here, Ashok Babu said that the leaders of Seemandhra employees' unions would join politics if the people ask for it. Accusing the political parties of betraying the Samaikhyandhra agitation, he said that the employees were now forced to think of joining active politics. However, he said a decision in this regard would be taken at an appropriate time.
It may be mentioned that the APNGOs Association led by Ashok Babu led a 66-day long agitation demanding that the Centre keep Andhra Pradesh united. Over four lakh employees from the Seemandhra region participated in the strike which was temporarily called off on October 17.
