Diwakar Reddy denies connection with ill-fated bus

Former minister Jc Diwakar Reddy on Wednesday made it clear that he was not at all connected with the bus that met with a fire mishap in Mahabubnagar district which claimed 45 lives.

Diwakar Reddy said that he sold the bus about two years ago. Since the buyers did not change the title, it was in the name of Diwakar Roadlines. He said he had no links with the Jabbar Travels.

According to sources, the bus was registered on October 1, 2010, at Anantapur in the name of Diwakar Roadlines. It was allotted the registration number AP 02 TA 0963. An amount of Rs 39,270 was paid towards taxes. Following, Diwakar Reddy’s statement, the RTA officials are verifying the reasons as to why the title was not changed if Diwakar Roadlines sold the bus.
