Sarojini Pulla Reddy no more

Former minister and senior Congress leader Sarojini Pulla Reddy died at her Bowenpally residence this morning. She was 85 and was suffering from old age problems for some time.

Sarojini was close to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and former Chief Minister Dr Marri Chenna Reddy. She served as minister for Municipal Administration and Women and Child Welfare. She was very popular as the Mayor of Hyderabad.

She graduated in 1940s and was also with the Congress Working Committee (CWC) for some time. She was married to Pulla Reddy in 1945. He died in 1970.

Chief Minister N Krian Kumar Reddy and leaders of various political parties expressed their condolences to on the death of Sarojini.
