Vijayamma, Bharati meets Jagan at Chanchalguda Jail

YSR Congress party honorary president YS Vijaya Lakshmi on Thursday called on her son and Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy at Chanchalguda Central Prison.

Vijayamma was accompanied with Jagan's wife Bharathi and Jalagam Venkat Rao, son of former Chief Minister Jalagam Vengal Rao. The trio reportedly had a detailed discussion over the padayatra being undertaken by YSR's daughter Sharmila from Cuddapah district from October 18.

Jagan was reportedly briefed about the current political situation in the State and the strategy adopted by the YSRCP to face it. According to sources, Jagan has expressed hope that he would soon come out on bail and join the padayatra.

Jagan, who was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation on May 27 in the disproportionate assets case, is lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail since his arrest. The Supreme Court has rejected his bail petition on October 5 and he is now preparing to file a revision petition.
