Information and Public Relations Minister Dk Aruna on Wednesday turned down the demand for resignation of elected representatives from the Telangana region.
Talking to reporters after holding a meeting with the elected representatives of Mahabubnagar district, Aruna said that the resignations of MLAs and ministers would only bring by-elections and not Telangana. She said that the Congress High Command was already working to find an amicable and favourable solution for the Telangana issue. Therefore, she said that the Congress leaders should wait for the High Command's decision on the statehood issue.
Aruna also informed that she would lead a delegation of Congress elected representatives of Mahbubnagar district to discuss Telangana issue with the party High Command on October 8.
