Toorpu slams T-Cong MPs for targeting CM

Government Whip Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy on Tuesday accused the Congress MPs from Telangana region of causing damage to the party.

Talking to reporters here, Jayaprakash Reddy said that the Telagnana MPs, especially Ponnam Prabhakar and G Vivek, have been specifically targeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for different reasons. He alleged that the MPs were deliberately dragging the Chief Minister into the controversies surrounding the Telangana agitation. He also condemned the MPs for making strong statements against Kiran Kumar Reddy during the Telangana March.

Jayaprakash Reddy said that the Telangana MPs were acting on some hidden agenda while ignoring the policy of the Congress party. Condemning the MPs for staging dharna before the CM's camp office during Telangana March on September 30, he asked the MPs to explain the rationale behind holding such a protest.

He demanded that Congress president Sonia Gandhi take a serious note of MPs' behaviour and take appropriate action against them to avoid further damage to the party.
