CPI (M) floor leader Julakanti Rangareddy on Friday accused the State Government of wasting public money by not allowing Assembly to function in a healthy manner.

Talking to reporters at Assembly media point, Julakanti Rangareddy accused the government of not coming forward to take up discussion on public issues and forcing the House to frequent adjournments. Though the Telangana issue was not in the jurisdiction of the State, he said that the State Government could move a resolution with the cooperation of other parties and mount pressure on Centre to resolve the issue.

However, he said that the government was not showing its commitment and not coming forward to resolve the issue. Due to the Telangana issue, he said that the progress of State has been affected in all sectors. Stating that four days of assembly session have been wasted, he asked the government to at least take up discussion on power issue on Saturday.

If the government fails to take up discussion on power issue on Saturday, he warned that the party would expose government’s inefficiency in resolving public issues and teach a fitting lesson in the next elections.
