Former Minister T Jeevan Reddy demanded that the TDP leader Byreddy Rajshekhar Reddy, who started his Diksha demanding separate Rayalaseema state on Saturday, to come out clear on the separate state issue.

Talking to media persons in the assembly premises on Saturday, Jeevan Reddy said that Telangana leaders would extend full support for creation of separate Rayalaseema state but the leaders of the region should have to clarify their stand on the issue. At one point they are demanding a separate Rayalaseema state saying injustice was done to them and on the other hand they are extending full support for United Andhra Pradesh, he alleged. If they come out clearly with their stand then it would be easier for the Telangana leaders to support them.

Reacting to the allegations of injustice to Rayalaseema region, Jeevan Reddy said that most of the chief ministers hailed from the Rayalaseema region who ruled the State after formation of Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that Byreddy was making such baseless allegations to divert the center’s attention at a time when it was preparing to announce separate Telangana state very soon.

Jeevan Reddy alleged that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was the mastermind behind Byreddy's Deeksha.
