Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday said that there was not much difference between YSR Congress Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing an election campaign at Rayadurgam in Anantapur district, the Chief Minister said that while Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister by back-stabbing his father-in-law N T Rama Rao, Jagan is trying to become Chief Minister by back-stabbing the Congress party.
Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party made Y S Rajasekhara Reddy the Chief Minister twice, Jagan is targeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi and leveling baseless charges to tarnish its image. He accused Jagan of conspiring with the TDP, BJP and TRS with an eye on Chief Minister’s post and to protect his illicit wealth.
The Chief Minister also accused Chandrababu Naidu of resorting to unethical means to return to power. Therefore, he said there was not much difference between Jagan and Naidu. However, he claimed that there was not threat to his government and he would stay on the Chief Minister's post till 2014.
He appealed to people to vote in favour of Congress candidate Venu Gopal Reddy for the development of Rayadurgam constituency.
