Anam promises people-friendly budget

Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy has promised that the State budget for the year 2012-13 would be people-friendly.

Talking to media persons after reviewing the progress of budget preparations with the officials of his department at the State Secretariat, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has already been asked to finalise the dates for the budget session of the State Legislative Assembly.  He said once the Chief Minister decides, the dates would then be conveyed to Governor E S L Narasimhan and Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar.

However, the Finance Minister said that the the budget for the financial year 2012-13 would be passed before March-end.

Except three departments - Major Industries, Information Technology and Tribal Welfare, he said the budget proposals of all other departments have been received. He said that the proposals of remaining departments too would be ready soon.
