Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday stated that the high command has revived the consultations process with everyone to elicit the opinion of all leaders to find a favourable and amicable solution for Telangana issue.
Talking to media persons after attending the mini-core committee meeting with Congress in-charge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the central leadership would take a favourable decision on the controversial statehood issue by arriving at a consensus with all leaders through consultation process.
Kiran Kumar Reddy said that he has informed the committee about the situation prevailing in the state due to employees' participation in the general strike. “I have asked the Centre to respect the aspirations and sentiments of the people in the region,” he said.
Stating that Centre would find an early solution to Telangana issue, the Chief Minister ruled out the imposition of President’s rule in the state. He said that the situation in the state had not gone to the level to recommend for imposition of President’s Rule in the state. He asked on what basis the centre could impose President’s rule in the state.
When the reporters asked him about what transpired between High Command and himself, the Chief Minister refused to elaborate and maintained secrecy over his dialogue with Azad. He once again appealed to striking employees to reconsider their decision and withdraw strike as it has been causing lot of inconvenience to people.
