TDP demands report on power cuts

Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Tuesday demanded that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy release a comprehensive report on what forced the government to impose frequent power cuts in the Telangana region.

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, Errabelli warned the government of serious consequences if daily seven hour power supply was not restored to farmers without any interruption. "Before imposing power cuts for farmers, the Chief Minister has to impose power cuts to his house first," he said.

If the state government fails to release a comprehensive report on power situation, Errabelli threatened to picket Vidyut Soudha along with farmers and Tdp activists. Stating that the general strike of Telangana employees has paralysed the administration in the State, he wondered about Chief Minister sending distorted reports to Centre on Telangana situation in the region.

The Tdp leader also appealed to the Seemandhra employees to extend support to the on-going general strike of Telangana employees. He announced that the Tdp would help those who were affected in the general strike and extend full financial support to them.
