Infrastructure and Investment Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Friday categorically refused to attend duties in the Secretariat until and unless the Centre takes a clear decision on the Telangana state formation.
Talking to media persons at Chief Minister’s Camp office, Komatireddy said that he would not participate even in the cabinet meeting till the Centre announces a clear stand on Telangana state. He said he would mount pressure on Speaker Nadendla Manohar to accept his resignation if the centre fails to decide on Telangana by September.
Demanding that the Centre should either begin the process of Telangana or accept resignation of elected members from the region, he appealed to Kiran Kumar Reddy to support the demand for statehood for Telangana.
Komadireddy said he came to meet the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over sanctioning of relief funds for his district. Later, Minister D Sridharbabu and former minister J C Diwakar Reddy also met the chief minister at his camp office.
