Sink differences with Aruna: Botsa to Jupally

Calling on former minister Jupally Krishna Rao to sink his differences with Information and Public Relations Minister DK Aruna, Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Monday said that the leaders in general and PCC office-bearers in particular must effectively tackle the criticism levelled against the party.

Talking to media persons in an informal interaction after emerging from an office-bearers meeting, Mr Satyanarayana asked the functionaries to effectively rebut the criticism being levelled against the party.

He said the functionaries should observe the leaders’ statements, which tarnish the party’s image and respond effectively and efficiently against these.

Reacting on the former Endowment minister Jupally Krishna Rao’s padayatra, Mr Satyanarayana advised him to sink his differences with Information and Public Relations Minister DK Aruna.

“Before beginning the padayatra, Mr Krishna Rao had prevailed upon Aruna, the district in-charge, to lead the march for the cause of Telangana,” Mr Satyanarayana said, adding that the time has come for the row between the two senior leaders to end.

Mr Satyanarayana also said that Sureedu, the trusted personal attendant of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy would continue in the party as loyal worker. However, he did not elaborate in what capacity.

Reiterating that the government would continue all the schemes and programmes launched by Dr YSR, the PCC chief condemned the criticism levelled by a section of Congress leaders who levelled allegations about the absence of the former chief minister’s photograph at party functions.

“Some leaders who had been rejected by Dr YSR were making such baseless allegations.  “Dr YSR’s photograph has been placed at all party programmes,” he said.

Meanwhile, Congress sources say that the PCC chief took a serious note on failure of supply of seeds to farmers in the meeting with the party office-bearers.

Mr Satyanarayana is said to have told the office bearers that he would discuss the issue with the Ministers concerned before making a public statement.

He is also believed to have discussed the aftermath of disciplinary action if taken against rebel MLAs close to the YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
