The condition of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, who was stabbed and shot at on Saturday by his rivals, remains stabled on the third day of his hospitalisation.
In a medical bulletin released on Monday by Care Hospital, Banjara Hills, the doctors who are treating him said the Legislator was being provided artificial respiration through ventilator.
The doctors also added that the three-time MLA has been undergoing dialysis.
The hospital added that the Legislator’s pulse rate, blood pressure and the functioning of vital organs are normal.
The bulletin was issued by Care Hospital Director Ram Papa Rao, who stated that a team of expert doctors are closely observing Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi’s health.
The report emphaises that the Legislator’s health has shown consistent improvement after underwent a second surgery for his abdominal injuries on Sunday.
Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi suffered injuries to his left kidney, urinary bladder, upper portion of the large intestine and left hand.
Meanwhile, Director of Medical Education Ravi Raj said that Legislator’s health is is stable.
Talking to media persons after enquiring about his health condition with Care Hospital doctors, the director stated that Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi was responding to the treatment well and his is improving.
He said that there was no need to perform an operation to remove a bullet from his thigh.
Mr Ravi Raj also revealed that the doctors have not taken any decision on the left kidney, which was damaged in the attack.
When asked whether the government bring experts from abroad to perform surgery on the MIM MLA, the director said there was no such necessity at the moment.
