Chandra Babu does not want the Film Industry to shift to AP

During the last few weeks rumours have been going thick and fast that Tollywood will shift to Andhra Pradesh after facing the heat from the Telangana government headed by CM Revanth Reddy.

However, inside talk is AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu is not keen on Film Industry shifting to the state. He feels that under the current circumstances, there is no use concentrating on the film industry shift to the state. During his interaction with the scribes, he spoke about the topic and said that currently, Hyderabad had become a hub for Tollywood. He claimed that all this happened as TDP under his regime created facilities for the film industry to grow in Hyderabad.

He added there was time when people used to watch films more in AP compared to Hyderabad and pointed out that now overseas market has increased. He added that hike in ticket rates is not a issue but before that major issues should be resolved and felt that once Amaravathi is completed, film industry will get more opportunities and then celebrities will come for shooting on their own without any official invitation.

Chandra Babu might have realised that it is not easy to shift the entire industry from another state and so he concentrating on developing infrastructure in the state to facilitate the shift.
