KCR to visit TS districts as crops are drying. President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is set to embark on a crucial tour of Nalgonda, Suryapet, and Jangaon districts on March 31. The purpose of this visit is to conduct a firsthand assessment of the extensive losses suffered by farmers due to drought-like conditions, which have left their crops withered and dry.
According to a press release from the BRS, Rao's itinerary will prioritize areas where irrigation water has failed to reach, exacerbating the plight of farmers and leading to widespread crop failures. The BRS has already initiated its own assessment of the extent of crop damage caused by the prolonged drought conditions, as well as the recent bouts of heavy rains and hailstorms.
This proactive approach underscores the government's commitment to understanding the challenges faced by agricultural communities and devising effective strategies to mitigate their hardships.
By personally witnessing the impact on the ground, President Rao aims to ensure that targeted relief measures can be implemented swiftly and efficiently to support farmers in distress.
