Bjp arm twists TDP and YSRCP.The Bharatiya Janata Party (Bjp) has emerged as a dominant force in Indian politics, consistently securing a full majority in the Lok Sabha over the past two elections. The party leaders are confident of achieving a significant victory in the upcoming elections, with some predicting as many as 370 seats for the Bjp alone. Surveys suggest that the Bjp is likely to secure up to 325 seats, reinforcing its strong position in national politics.
While the Bjp's performance in the Lok Sabha has been impressive, the party has faced challenges in the Rajya Sabha, where it has had to navigate a more complex political landscape. However, the recent Rajya Sabha elections have seen the Bjp increase its strength to 97 seats, just three short of a hundred. When combined with its allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the Bjp's strength in the Rajya Sabha reaches 117, making it well-positioned to pass crucial bills.
In states like Andhra Pradesh (AP), where the Bjp has relied on the support of parties like the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), the political dynamics are evolving. With the TDP's representation reduced to zero and the YSRCP now holding 11 seats, the Bjp's reliance on these parties has diminished. This has led to speculation that the Bjp may no longer need to rely on these parties for support in the Rajya Sabha.
The Bjp's approach to alliances in AP and other states is seen as strategic, driven by political considerations rather than ideological alignment. The party is focused on strengthening its own position and is prepared to make alliances based on political expediency. As the Bjp continues to consolidate its position in national politics, it is expected to assert its influence in states like AP, potentially reshaping the political landscape in the region. So if either Jagan's YSRCP, Chandra Babu's TDP and Pawan's Jana Sena feel that they can arm twist Modi's Bjp,they are under serious delusion and if Bjp wins over 300 seats, it will do whatever it wants according to the political situation to make inroads in AP and who ever wins AP will find it difficult to get even funds from the Bjp led Union Government.
