Akkineni Naga Chaitanya has joined forces with Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu for Telugu-Tamil bilingual project titled Custody. The film is gearing up for a grand release worldwide on May 12th. The team is promoting the film aggressively with interesting promotional material so far. From the teaser to songs, the promos set good expectations on the film. Today, they launched the theatrical trailer of Custody.
The trailer right from the start gets into what the movie is all about. The storyline of the protagonist protecting the antagonist and not letting him die sounds exciting. Naga Chaitanya plays a constable who is abide by the law. While his love played by Krithi Shetty is in trouble and is forced to marry another guy, he has to guard a criminal from his opponents, till he is produced before the court. This is what Custody is all about.
Naga Chaitanya played a character of a common constable but hellbent on standing by his duty and truth. His character is showcased in a way that he goes to any extent to protect the values he believes in. Naga Chaitanya looked convincing in the role. Arvind Swami, Sharath Kumar and Priyamani appeared in other important roles.
Director Venkat Prabhu is knwon for action thrillers. Going by the trailer of Custody he seems once again made a thoroughly engaging thriller. Srinivasaa Chitturi is producing the film under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Kumar is presenting this large scale project. SR Kathir’s camera work and the background score by Maestro Ilayaraja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja impresses. Custody is slated for release on May 12th.
