Samantha Reveals Interesting Things About Shaakuntalam

Samantha who was last seen in Yashoda last year is coming again with another female oriented film, Shaakuntalam a mythological lovestory based on a play written by Maha Kalidas. Dev Mohan is pairing as King Dushyantha for Samantha who is Shakuntala, their son Prince Bharata is played by Allu Arjun's daughter, Allu Arha. As the film's release date is nearing, Samantha and team are rigorously participating in promotional activities nation wide.

Samantha has shared five crazy facts about the movie. The actor has left no stones unturned to promote Shaakuntalam, and in a recent video, she shared hilarious and amusing insights from the sets of the movie. Talking about her flower ornaments, Samantha said, “I shot all day without any complaints, and then in the evening, the imprint of the flower was all over my arm. I sort of had a flower tattoo on my arm for six months. I thought it was permanent, because no one was able to fix it. I would put makeup on top. Eventually, it went away.”

Samantha also shared that her lehenga for a dance sequence was so heavy that it would take her away from the frame while dancing. She said she wore a 30 kg weighed Lehenga to dance for a song and it took many takes. Samantha also said that she was bitten by a rabbit on the sets and added, “They are not so cute apparently.” And finally she said that he hair in Shaakuntalam is not real.

Shaakuntalam is helmed by Gunasekhar while his daughter is bank-rolling the project under the presentation of popular producer Dil Raju. Mani Sharma is composing the music. The film is releasing in multi-languages in 2D & 3D formats on 14th April.
