Director Vamshi Paidipally's latest film Varisu starring Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna was released on 11th January and is running with very good collections. The film's Telugu dubbed version Vaarasudu was released on 14th January. Vamshi reacted about trolls on the film calling it a daily tv serial. The film received a flak from social media comparing the plot and treatment of Varisu with TV operas.
Vamshi Paidipally reacted to these trolls. He expressed anger calling his film a soap opera. He said that TV serials are entertaining millions of people. He said that making a film is not an easy task. Vamshi continued, " Making a movie is one of the toughest jobs now-a-days. It involves a lot of team work. It include many sacrifices. Vijay is one of the biggest superstars in our country. Everything has to be right while making the film. We need to do a lot of rehearsals to get it right. We only has what we can do in our hands not the result. I did this film for Vijay. He is the first viewer and critic for my film. Don't be such a negative person. I have left my software job to become a filmmaker. Now I earned recognition with my work."
Varisu has emerged as Pongal winner in Tamil Nadu while it is facing tough competition in Telugu and is getting average collections at the Box-office.
