Drishyam 2 Completes 50 Days Run At Theatres

Ajay Devgn's family thriller Drishyam 2 which was released on 18th November, 2022 in theatres has completed its glorious run of 50 days in theatres today. It is a great feat that a film runs for 50 days in theatres during this OTT age. Drishyam 2 is available in OTT in Amazon Prime platform for rent. Still it is running in theatres and collected good numbers in its 7th weekend with the advantage of New Year's Eve. Drishyam 2 collected Rs 237 Crores and the business will be closed with Rs 240 Crores nett.

Drishyam 2 has emerged as biggest earner in Bollywood crossing Brahmāstra Part 1 Rs 236 Crores for Hindi versions in 2022. However if we consider all languages, Brahmāstra is still at top place with Rs 264 crores. The film which was made with a budget of Rs 50 Crores has collected Rs 335 Crores gross including overseas collections. Drishyam 2 gave much needed hope for Bollywood by raking huge profits and having a long run at the theatres. Before it's release many called it would not make even Rs 100 crores as it is a remake and the original is available in OTT. But, it turned the tables right from the day of its release and went on becoming a smash hit.

Drishyam 2 is the official remake of Malayalam film starring Mohanlal with the same title. While the original was directly released in OTT, the remake made into theatres and collected huge numbers.
