Trisha Krishnan's long delayed project 'Raangi' seems to see the light in the coming days. The makers released an action packed trailer of the film. The trailer hints about an action thriller with terrorists and army backdrop with Trisha Krishnan caught in the middle. Going by the trailer Trisha is on a mission to save her niece played by Anaswara Rajan who is stuck somewhere. The story is set in Uzbekistan and trailer also shares a glimpse of mysterious teenager without revealing the details. Trisha Krishnan did some heavy duty action scenes and her role packs a punch. Trisha is effortless in her role and will surely leave a mark on the film.
The story and dialogues for the film are by director AR Murugadoss. While Saravanan directed the film. The film also stars John Mahendran, Lizzie Antony, Gopi Kannadasan and among others. Popular production house Lyca Productions bankrolled the film. While the music for the film is by C Sathya, Cinematography is by KA Shakthivel and Editing by S Subarak. Action sequences are choreographed by Raja Sekar. Raangi which has been kept on a back burner for a longtime is finally hitting the screens on December 30. The film is censored with UA.

She was last seen in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, in which she played Princess Kundavai of the Chola kingdom. The next part Ponniyin Selvan 2 is slated to release on April 27, 2023.
