Kantara which has been in the news for its content and collections faced a big blow. The film's Varaha Roopam song has become an anthem since it's release. It has created a powerful impact during key scenes in the film. But, Kerala's music band Thaikkudam Bridge accused Kantara makers for copying their song Navarasam for Varaha Roopam. The music band went to court and registered plagiarism complaint againt makers of Kantara.

The Kozhikode sessions court has issued a temporary injunction order to restrain the makers of Kantara from using the Varaha Roopam song in theatres and all other streaming platforms. Earlier the indie music band alleged that Kantara song is plagiarised from their song Navarasam which was released in 2015. Thaikkudam Bridge took to Instagram to share the news about court's order.

The injunction order has been passed against Producers Hombale Films, Director Rishab Shetty and Malayalam presenter Prithviraj Productions respectively. The court ordered the song shouldn't be played without the permission of Thaikkudam Bridge. The song Varaha Roopam has been sung by Sai Vignesh and composed by Ajaneesh Loknath.
