Finally, Tollywood breathed a sigh of relief with AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy signing the file revising the ticket rates in theatres in the state. The revised Go which comes into existence will help the upcoming films. AP CM Jagan who crushed Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab and more recently Bheemla Nayak and in between many films with his illogical ticket rates with the old Go, after accomplishing his mission, decided to revise the ticket rates with the new Go.

Tollywood is celebrating and Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, and others are thanking AP CM Jagan for the revised Go. It's true that the revised rates will help the upcoming entertainers like Radhe Shyam and RRR as they pan India entertainers. However still AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy can arm-twist Tollywood holding it by its scruff.

Films over 100crs budget excluding the remuneration of director and hero can increase the ticket rates. But here comes the rider. The film should have shot 20% of it in Andhra Pradesh and for that AP Government will give a 10% concession. But one wonders who will monitor how much of the film has been shot in Andhra Pradesh. 25% of the theatres are put under the non-premium cateGory and this is a huge loss to the theatre owners. The differential ticket rates according to the localities and regions will impact the film collections and owners and it can be solved only if the Go allows an increase of ticket rates uniformly cutting across all classes. B, C centers can bring relief to the theatres and the makers as the abnormal prices of 5-10 are done away with. Even the fifth show, the extra show permitted is only for the small films with the budget of Rs 20crs and so biggies cannot benefit from it. Benefit shows are banned completely much to the disappointment of all.

This shows that CM Jagan can still arm-twist Tollywood according to the whims and fancies and those who curry favors with him will get extra benefits or else will be crushed brutally.

Here are the revised ticket rates in theatres in AP as per the Go.
