Rich tributes paid to NTR

Union Minister of State for Human resources, Daggubati Purandhereswari, Tollywood  heroes, Balakrishna, Jr NTR, Tarakaratna and others paid floral tributes to late N T Rama Rao at NTR Ghat here on Friday.

On the occasion of  NTR’s 88th  birthday,  his family members visited the Ghat to pay their respects. Speaking on the occasion Union Minister of State for Human Resources D. Purandareswari  recalled that NTR fought for the self-respect of the Telugus and changed the course of the state and national politics. Telugu people adore NTR even today because of  the services he rendered to the  people of Andhra Pradesh.

Tollywood actor Balakrishna observed ``NTR is not with us today  but  his blessing will be always there with the people of Andhra  Pradesh. He may be physically not amidst us but his ideals will continue to guide and inspire us.”

Conspicuous among the absentees are Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu, his wife  Bhuvaneswari and son Lokesh.  The widow of  late  NTR , Lakshmi Parvathi was also not present along with the NTR’s family  members.
