Pawan Kalyan comes from a family which strongly believes in communism ideologue. In fact, Pawan’s father was a communist and the same traits are today visible in Pawan’s political approach towards the problems in society. His immense interest for communal literature was visible when he elaborately spoke on comrade Sri Tarimela Nagi Reddy and his book ‘India Mortgaged.’
‘This being the centenary year of Comrade Sri Tarimela Nagi Reddy (Born on 11th Feb 1917 in Ananthapur) and we being in his centenary birth week, it reminds me of ‘India Mortgaged,’ a book written by him, given to me by my father when I was studying Intermediate.
At that point in time I could not comprehend the depth and seriousness in his thoughts and writing. But today his words are more relevant than ever before. He was truly a living embodiment of his philosophy which focused on the downtrodden. He had served as MP once and MLA thrice including Madras legislative Assembly and he had also donated 1000 acres of his land to the landless. I bow in respect and reverence to Comrade Tarimela Nagi Reddy,’ as said by Pawan Kalyan.
