Director Shankar was utmost confident on ‘I’ to do wonders at BO because this is one of those special contents which he believed the most. Nevertheless, critics and movie lovers who kept high expectations on film might not have enjoyed it but collections are super strong across all the corners of world where the movie was released. From day one movie has hit the screens, the first complaint heard was about trimming the extra length in film which tested the patience of viewers. Shankar and makers were adamant without giving any scope for re-editing the final version.
Latest we heard is seven minutes of heavily lagging scenes were removed from ‘I’ and the film now looks a bit crispy and short than the first. By the time when collections might see a fall in this second week, Shankar has agreed to the decision of cutting few portions. What if he has done this on second day than this second week?
