A Massive BO Clash Is Brewing For Next Diwali

Prabhas’ Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has announced October 29, 2027, as its worldwide theatrical release date. However, the film could face competition from Ramayana Part 2, which is also scheduled for Diwali 2027, setting the stage for a potential clash between two highly anticipated Indian films.

Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is planned as a two part cinematic epic starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash. Its first instalment is scheduled for November 5, 2026, while the second is expected during Diwali 2027. The final release schedule for Part 2 remains subject to confirmation.

Spirit stars Prabhas and Triptii Dimri and is produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. The combination of Prabhas’ pan India appeal and Vanga’s intense filmmaking style has generated considerable interest, with audiences awaiting more details about the film’s international release plans and storyline.

Ramayana Part 2 is expected to continue the epic’s grand retelling, with Yash’s portrayal of Ravana attracting particular attention. The film’s eventual release date could depend on production progress and the response to Part 1. If both projects retain their announced windows, Diwali 2027 could bring one of Indian cinema’s biggest box office showdowns.
