Ranbir Kapoor and Yash Ramayana World Premiere in Los Angeles

Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi’s Ramayana is set for an exclusive world premiere at the David Geffen Theatre inside Los Angeles’ Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on October 27, 2026. The special 3D screening is expected to welcome 945 guests, including Hollywood personalities, filmmakers and international media.
The premiere marks an important international showcase for the Indian mythological epic, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Scheduled around Deepavali, the event will celebrate Indian culture, with guests reportedly encouraged to wear traditional festive attire for the red carpet.
Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios alongside DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is planned as a two part cinematic spectacle. Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman are composing the music, bringing together international and Indian musical talent for the ambitious adaptation.
The first instalment is scheduled for worldwide release on November 5, 2026, while the second part is planned for Diwali 2027. The film is set to release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, with IMAX screenings also planned. Sony Pictures will distribute it internationally outside India.
