Darshan Faces Another Setback in Renukaswamy Murder Case

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, an accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, has suffered another setback in court. The 50th CCH Court reportedly dismissed two applications filed by his legal team concerning approver Pradosh Rao’s movement and examination during the ongoing trial.

Darshan’s lawyers sought restrictions on Pradosh’s interactions while travelling between prison and court, including preventing unauthorised meetings. Another application sought directions regarding the manner and sequence of Pradosh’s examination. The prosecution reportedly opposed the requests, while the court considered the submissions before dismissing both applications.

Pradosh, accused No. 14, has become an approver after seeking pardon and offering to make a full and truthful disclosure about the alleged murder conspiracy, disposal of evidence and roles of the accused. His status followed significant legal proceedings, including a Karnataka High Court intervention over procedural issues.

Reports indicate Pradosh has submitted extensive information to the court, potentially making his evidence important to the prosecution’s case. Meanwhile, Pavithra Gowda reportedly broke down during proceedings over alleged difficulties inside Parappana Agrahara prison. The court has sought a detailed report from prison authorities regarding her barrack related concerns.
