Intense And Powerful Title Glimpse Of City Of Gold
Vikram Prabhu’s upcoming 26th film has officially been titled City of Gold. Directed by debutant Siddharth, the crime thriller features Shivathmika Rajashekar as the female lead, alongside Raahul and Amala Shaji. Raahul is producing the project under Romeo Pictures, while the recently released first look and title glimpse have generated curiosity.
The first look presents Vikram Prabhu with an intense expression while casually handling gold bars, hinting at a mysterious underworld surrounding the precious metal. The glimpse expands this world through a gold smuggling operation connected to Coimbatore, introducing authorities, traders and shadowy characters while deliberately keeping the larger conflict under wraps.
City of Gold boasts a strong technical team, with Yuvan Shankar Raja composing the music, Karthick Sharaj handling cinematography and Arul Moses A editing. Hari Haran PS is the production designer, Kavya Velusamy handles costumes and Dinesh Kasi choreographs the action. The ensemble includes GM Sundar, Sunil Sukhada and others.
The film explores the hidden world behind gold trading and smuggling, focusing on the people and incidents operating beyond the glittering marketplace. Reports indicate that production has taken place across Coimbatore, Chennai and Kerala. City of Gold is currently listed as an upcoming 2026 Tamil, dubbed into Telugu action crime thriller, with its release date yet to be officially announced.
