No Theatrical Trailer - How Did These Films Fare
Nani’s The Paradise is taking an unusual promotional route by arriving in theatres without a traditional theatrical trailer. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the high budget action drama is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 24, 2026. The decision has surprised audiences and trade circles, given the film’s scale and expectations.
Nani reportedly clarified that the trailer was skipped because the team is racing against time to complete the final work. Director Srikanth Odela and composer Anirudh Ravichander are focused on finishing the film, and creating a trailer could consume valuable time needed to polish the final product.
Interestingly, The Paradise is not the first Telugu film to take this unconventional approach. Mahanati reached theatres without a theatrical trailer, relying on its teaser and promotional material before becoming a major critical and commercial success. Geetha Govindam similarly built tremendous anticipation through songs and promotional content before its release.
However, trailer free releases have produced mixed results elsewhere. Films such as Kabali and Master generated enormous pre release excitement despite unconventional promotional strategies, but their theatrical outcomes did not completely match expectations. The Paradise already has strong buzz surrounding Nani and Srikanth Odela, making its trailer gamble particularly intriguing.
