Ranveer Singh Visits Chamundeshwari Temple After Court Order In Kantara Case

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh went to the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru on Tuesday. He offered special prayers at the hill shrine. His visit came after the Karnataka High Court told him to go to the temple within four weeks. The order was part of a case linked to the film Kantara Chapter 1. The actor is also facing issues with Don 3 and a ban call from FWICE.
The case started after Ranveer’s act at the IFFI closing event in Goa last year. A complaint said he insulted the Daiva or Bhoota Kola ritual shown in Rishab Shetty’s Kantara. This ritual is very important to people in coastal Karnataka. An FIR was filed at the High Grounds Police Station in Bengaluru. Advocate Prashanth Methal told the court that the act hurt the feelings of many followers. Ranveer later went to the High Court to cancel the FIR.
In court, Ranveer said sorry and said he did not want to hurt anyone. He said he was only praising Rishab Shetty’s work in Kantara. Justice M Nagaprasanna closed the case after Ranveer promised to visit the temple and pray. The judge also said the police should focus on real crimes instead of other cases. The temple visit was done as part of this promise.
At the same time, Ranveer is dealing with trouble in Bollywood. FWICE issued a non-cooperation notice against him on Monday. The group said he left Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 and did not attend three meetings with them. After the notice, Ranveer was seen at Mumbai airport in traditional clothes. He wore a mask and did not talk to the media. With the Chamundeshwari Temple visit now complete, he has followed the High Court’s order in the Kantara case.
