Icon Star Allu Arjun's Pushpa The Rule directed by Sukumar turned out to be a blockbuster. The film broke many records and became the highest grosser in the Indian history. However, the film also had its share of controversies.
Now, advocate Narasimha Rao filed a PIL against Pushpa The Rule makers over profits of the film. He questioned on what basis Telangana Government allowed special screenings, additional shows and hike in ticket rates for Pushpa The Rule and and requested the High Court to direct the makers to share some of the profits worth Rs 1870crs for the welfare of artists and subsidies for smaller productions.
During the hearing the Judge questioned the petitioner about the relevance of the petition and added that the ticket price hikes and benefit shows issue had been concluded. High Court asked the petitioner to take the matter to the Supreme Court and adjourned the case for two weeks.
