Chiranjeevi’s Sankranti 2027 lineup has become a major talking point, with Kaaka officially locked for January 13. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the long delayed Vishwambhara could also target the festive season. If both arrive together, it would create an unusual situation involving two major films featuring the same superstar.
Vishwambhara, directed by Mallidi Vassishta and produced by UV Creations, is a socio fantasy adventure that has faced multiple delays, reportedly due partly to extensive VFX work. Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor and Ashika Ranganath are part of the cast. However, the makers have not officially announced a new release date.
Kaaka, directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by KVN Productions, has officially confirmed its worldwide theatrical release for January 13, 2027. The film reunites Chiranjeevi with the Waltair Veerayya director and features Anaswara Rajan, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil and Getup Srinu. A key Hyderabad shooting schedule was recently planned to meet the deadline.
The Kaaka glimpse introduces Chiranjeevi as K Satyam, an aqua-industry supervisor whose seemingly ordinary life hides another side. The makers have firmly rejected postponement speculation, while Vishwambhara’s Sankranti plans remain unconfirmed. With theatre allocation, business commitments and audience demand involved, the possibility of both films sharing the festival window remains a closely watched development.
